🚨 New model from Mistral AI: Mistral Large!

TLDR:

• Second best model in the world after GPT-4 (don’t think they considered Gemini ultra though)
• ~7x cheaper than GPT-4
• 32k context window: you can give it ~half a book as input
• They claim it handles function calling nicely, in other words it can consistently return structured output following a predefined schema
• For the first time they partner with another company for distribution: Microsoft Azure
• It’s also accessible through their API they call “La Plateforme”
• They released “le Chat” over at chat.mistral.ai: you can test Mistral Large/Next/Small for free there
• They also updated Mistral Small which now outperforms Mixtral
