Um Beeper, called Euh Beeper in French, collects nothing. No account, no sign up, no analytics, and no network request of any kind.
The microphone, and what happens to the sound
The app uses the microphone only while you have started listening, and iOS shows its orange indicator the whole time. The sound goes to a small model that runs on the iPhone itself, which decides many times a second whether you are hesitating and beeps when you are. There is no speech recognition and no transcript: the app never turns what you say into text, and it has nowhere to send it anyway, since there is no server behind it and no third party SDK in the binary.

What the app stores, and where
Each listening session is kept on your iPhone, the compressed audio and the moments the app beeped, so you can replay your hesitations. A setting turns this off, and any session can be deleted from the list. The False beep and Missed um buttons save the last three seconds of audio to the same place, visible in the Files app, so you can send them to me if you choose to. Nothing is uploaded by the app.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else, so there is nothing to request, export or have erased on my side.
What the app does not have
No camera. No location. No contacts. No advertising identifier. No account.
Tracking
None. The app does not track you across apps or websites.
