What Claude Code training costs in France
People regularly ask me how what I sell differs from a Claude Code course, so in August 2026 I went through the public pages of the French training vendors my clients mention most often and wrote down what they charge.
| Vendor | Format | Public price |
|---|---|---|
| OCTO Academy | two days | around €1,910 excl. VAT a head |
| Xebia Academy | two days | €1,795 excl. VAT a head |
| Zenika | per day | €1,050 a day |
| Les-Tilleuls | one day | €900 a participant |
| Me | one in-house day in your repo | €2,500 excl. VAT a day, whatever the head count |
I put myself in the table because a comparison where the person publishing it does not appear is a rigged comparison. My row reads differently from the others, it is priced per day and not per head, so with eight developers in the room the day comes to a little over €300 a person and with twelve it drops towards €210. It is not the same product for all that, I am not a Qualiopi-certified training body, so it cannot be funded through a French OPCO, and what I run happens in your repo on your tickets rather than on a sample project.
Those numbers come from public pages on a given day, they move, and an in-house session gets negotiated differently from a catalog seat anyway. I am looking at this from the outside, at what is published, and I am happy to be corrected.
The other thing I collected is more interesting than the prices. Across the forty or so French vendors whose catalogs my own agents went through in August, hooks and skills show up in the syllabus at two of them, and secret handling when it is an agent reading the repo shows up nowhere. Take that for what it is, a crawl proves presence badly, a course can cover a subject perfectly well without naming it in its outline, and it proves absence rather well. If you already teach this and I missed you, write to me, that interests me more than the opposite.
From what I see at my clients, that is the part that gets expensive six months later, the part I call the harness, when the CLAUDE.md has doubled in size without anyone reading it and the token bill climbs without anyone knowing where from.
The difference between those courses and what I do is not quality, the programs are solid and the people running them know the subject. It is nature. They teach, in their room, on their material, priced per head, which is the right format when a whole team is discovering the tool. I turn up in your repo, on your tickets, which only makes sense if the agents have been there for a few months and the gain still does not show.
The prices of my own formats are on the services page, in euros excluding VAT, same as these.
