Mistral AI releases Mistral Large
🚨 New model from Mistral AI: Mistral Large!
TLDR: - Second best model in the world after GPT-4 (don’t think they considered Gemini ultra though) - ~7x cheaper than GPT-4 - 32k context window: you can give it ~half a book as input - They claim it handles function calling nicely, in other words it can consistently return structured output following a predefined schema - For the first time they partner with another company for distribution: Microsoft Azure - It’s also accessible through their API they call “La Plateforme” - They released “le Chat” over at chat.mistral.ai: you can test Mistral Large/Next/Small for free there - They also updated Mistral Small which now outperforms Mixtral
